About Mas de Can Blau

Mas de Can Blau is a red wine produced by the winery Can Blau in the D.O Montsant.

This winery, located in the town of Molá (Tarragona) belongs to the group Gil Family States.

Mas de Can Blau is a blend of the varieties Cariñena, Syrah and Garnacha. The grapes originate from old vines of 40 years of age.

For its production, the maceration and fermentation is performed in small stainless steel containers. The malolactic fermentation is completed in French oak barrels, and in the same barrels where is was aged for 18 months.

2011 Full bodied and enveloping on the palate. Passing is unctuous and tasty. Very good acidity and round tannins. Long and persistent finish.

Cherry red with garnet reflections.

A Large aromatic intensity, presence of ripe red fruit combined with and abundance of roasted tones.
2009 In the palate, we find a wide, fleshy and structured wine, with a high load of fruit aromas. It shows a great, sharp and integrated, refreshing acidity and ripe tannins which make it appealing. Long and persistent finish. Smoked and roasted aromas appear at retro-olfaction.

Beautiful and clean, very intense, dark cherry red colour with maroon edges. Bright wine with abundant, slow-falling tears.

Highly intense, clean, complexe and expressive nose. It is dominated by powerful notes of ripe black fruit. Its nice toasted notes are released along with spicy aromas, earthy hints, light mineral notes and refreshing balsamic aromas. Very balanced.
2007 Montsant red wine with an intense, powerful and broad attack. Very concentrated and fleshy mid palate, with aromas of ripe fruit and spicy. Good structure. Highly-integrated tannins. Very long and persistent finish.

Intense cherry colour, with maroon trims. Bright. Abundant and slow legs.

The aromas are complex, large and very expressive. The notes of fresh ripe fruit emerge in a warm and powerful way along with notes of the soil, touches of toast and hints of chocolate. Very balanced.
2006 It's full, concentrated, rich, more than enough but not excessive or "furnished" in terms of oak aging, with workmanship to please both the connoisseur trained as fans in general.

Intense cherry.

Seeks a balance between the warm notes of macerated fruit and memory of the terroir.
