Tequila

A Unique Mexican Beverage

Tequila is a distilled spirit produced from the fermentation and distillation of juice extracted from the agave plant. Tequila is primarily produced in the Mexican state of Jalisco, although it is also made in municipalities of neighbouring states, and to be marketed as tequila, it must be derived exclusively from the blue agave variety. Additionally, tequila must be made from a minimum of 60% agave sugar, with the remainder coming from other sugars.
