Patxaran
The Pacharán, a Navarrese Tradition Inherited from Centuries of History
Parcharán, or Patxaran, is a liquor mixed with anise made by soaking sloe fruits, collected from the blackthorn shrub. Pacharán is principally produced in Navarra, home of the “Consejo Regulador del Pacharán Navarro” (Regulatory Council of Navarro Pacaharan), although it is also produced in other Spanish regions such as La Rioja, Aragón and Castilla-León.
