About Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos

Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos is a red wine from the DO. Navarra, crafted by Bodegas Zorzal in Corella, Navarra. Established in 1989 with the aim of reviving indigenous grape varieties of the region, it operates under the philosophy that wine is born from the vineyard.

They currently own 40 hectares situated near the town of Fitero, where the gentle terrain forms a small oasis amidst the vineyards along the lower Ebro riverbank, thus offering an added touch of freshness. Of these, 25 hectares are planted with Garnacha, while the remainder is dedicated to Graciano and Tempranillo, along with white varieties such as Garnacha Blanca.

The Garnacha vineyard used to produce this Corral de los Altos is located atop a plateau exposed to the cierzo wind, on stony soils.

Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos undergoes fermentation in 2000-litre French oak vats, before being transferred to second-year barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent ageing for 9 months.
