About Viña Albina Reserva

Viña Albina Reserva is a red wine from the appellation of origin Rioja produced by Bodegas Riojanas.

This is a centenarian winery, funded in 1890 and is located in the town on Cenicero, in the heart of the Rioja Alta.

Viña Albina Reserva is produced from the varieties Tempranillo (80%), Mazuelo (15%) and Graciano (5%). The grapes originate from vineyards from Cenicero, Sonsierra and Villalba de Rioja.

For production, the wine is produced using traditional methods. The grapes are selected, destemmed and then crushed to be macerated and then fermented at a controlled temperature.

After this process the Viña Albino Reserva is aged for 24-30 months in American oak barrels with racking when appropriate. Subsequently, spend a further 12 months in the bottle.

Viña Albina Reserva 2019 welcomes us with aromatic finesse, a tapestry of gentle balms, ripe cherries, and raspberries, hints of vanilla, and a spectrum of spices that whisper the secrets of its maturation. On the palate, it unveils itself as robust and harmonious, with an acidity that pirouettes alongside soft, well-defined tannins. It is a well-balanced wine culminating in an extensive finish that leaves a lasting, intense impression.

Viña Albina Reserva 2017 is a mature red wine exuding intricate aromas of stewed fruit, toasted undertones, and spicy hints. On the palate, it is harmonious, refined, and sophisticated. A silky wine with polished tannins and a well-balanced acidity. The finish is extensive and leaves a delicately aromatic aftertaste.
2009 On the palate, it is a fleshly and pleasant wine. Fruity and enveloping. Good acidity and the tannins are well integrated. Very well balanced and elegant.

Dark, deep ruby red.

Large aromatic intensity with presence of ripened red fruit. Spiced and toasted notes with a milky base.
2008 In the mouth it is acidic with refined tannins. It is a well-balanced wine.

On the nose, it is elegant. There are notes of aging and vegetal undertones.
