Señorio de Ondarre Reserva 2019 is a deep cherry-red wine. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe fruits such as plums and cherries, accompanied by subtle spicy hints. Upon tasting, it presents itself as vigorous and well-structured, with a broad body that envelops the palate. Its tannins are noble and well-integrated, offering a smooth and silky texture. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a lasting impression of its concentrated profile.

About Señorio de Ondarre Reserva

Ondarre Reserva is a red wine from La Rioja produced by the Ondarre winery, part of the Bodegas Olarra Group. This wine is a blend of Tempranillo (75%), Mazuelo (15%) and Grenache (10%).

After the harvest, the different varieties undergo winemaking separately. The fermentation is performed for different types of grape autonomously. This occurs at a controlled temperature of 28-30º.

The maceration, which lasts from about 16 to 18 days total is subsequently performed. Finally, the varieties are gathered and Ondarre Reserva rests for 16 months in Bordeaux barrels of American and French oak. During this time they produce four rackings.

Before going to market, Ondarre Reserva is aged for three years in the bottle before going to market.

Ondarre is located in the town of Viana, about eight kilometers from Logroño, it is part of Bodegas Olarra Group.

Bodegas Olarra Group was founded in 1973 and has since been known as the Cathedral of La Rioja for the beauty and majesty of its facilities.

Señorio de Ondarre Reserva 2018 exhibits a deep cherry red hue that captivates the eye. On the nose, it reveals fruity aromas such as cherry and plum, complemented by spicy notes and a subtle hint of ageing. On the palate, it is vigorous and well-structured, offering a broad experience with well-integrated tannins that lead to a long and persistent finish. This wine displays a concentrated profile that reflects its time in barrel.                      
2010 Structured and comprehensive. It has fine tannins and correct acidity. Aftertaste is long and persistent.

Intense cherry red with ruby shades. Clean and bright, thin and elegant tear.

Medium to high intensity and spicy touches. Notes of ripe red fruit and balsamic add to the characteristic nuances of aging.
2009 A powerful, wide and structured red wine with fine tannins and a good acidity. Long and persistent finish. A classic wine, enjoyable and easy to drink.

Cherry colour with a ruby rim. Clean and very bright. Pretty, fine and elegant tears on the glass.

Ondarre Reserva shows medium-high intensity nasal aromas with aroms of its ageing and spices. Once opened out, ripe red fruit appears. Nice balsamic notes in the background complete the set.
2008 A powerful, wide and structured red wine with noble tannins and a good acidity. Long and persistent finish. A pleasant and easy-drinking classic wine.

Cherry colour with ruby red edges. Clean and very bright. Thin and beautiful light tears.

Ondarre Reserva 2008 shows medium-high intensity nasal aromas among which the spiced nuances provided during the ageing stand out. As the wine gets aerated, nice aromas of very ripe red fruit are also noticed. This set is combined with a nice balsamic background.
2006 This red wine is energetic in the mouth. It is structured, broad and has fine, well-integrated tannins and a good acidity. Long and persistent finish.

Pretty cherry red colour with a ruby rim.

Clean nose, high intensity. Aromas of its ageing stand out with spicy touches and once airated, nice ripe red fruit. Pleasant balsamic notes accompany the set.
2005 Powerful attack with notes of ripe fruit in the foreground and with well-balanced touches of wood. It has a tasty, meaty and fresh mid palate, polished tannins and a good acidity. Its good finish leaves fresh balsamic feelings.

Dark cherry colour with maroon reflections. High layer and abundant tears.

Good intensity. First, its spicy notes (vanilla, pepper) are released. When it opens up, the spicy notes become more complex and intense and ripe red and black fruit is noticed along with toasted notes provided by the wood and fresh balsamic hints.
2004 In the mouth it is tasty, well structured, long and clean.

It has a cherry-red cover.

Its aroma is frank and balanced.
