About Rotllan Torra Crianza

Rotllan Torra Criança is a red wine from the D.O Priorat produced by Rotllan Torra, a small family winery located in Torroja del Priorat (Tarragona).

Rotllan Torra Criança is a blend of garnacha, cariñena, cabernet sauvignon, syrah and merlot. The vines are young, nearly 20 years of age. Planted in poor slate soils.

The harvest is completed at dawn by hand, the grapes are transported to the winery in 20kg containers.

For production, the grapes are fermented at 28ºC and then a maceration with husks for 20 days.

After this process, the wine is transferred to French Bordeaux oak barrels and third year American oak barrels for 12 months.

2011 Pleasant and fresh. Passing is unctuous and tasty, the red fruit is perfectly balanced with spicy notes. Friendly tannins and well integrated. Balsamic finish.

Garnet red with purple hues. Clean and bright

Fresh, aromatic and structure. Highlights of red fruit and roasted memories. A mixture of vanilla, liquorice and mineral notes.
2009 Powerful attack. Long and unctuous palate with the correct acidity and slightly astringent tannins. Long and persistent finish, leaving fruity, toasted and smoky sensations. This red wine will mature well in the bottle.

Ruby red colour with maroon edges. Clean and bright. Abundant fine, tinted, slow-falling tears stain the glass.

Intensely aromatic. Complex and expressive. Appetising and very ripe red fruit, almost liqueur, stands out over elegant and fine toasted aromas, notes of sweet spices and light lactic notes. Nice mineral background.
