From the Rioja Alta comes this red blend of tempranillo, graciano, and mazuela, aged for over a year in oak barrels. Specifically, Ramón Bilbao Reserva is cultivated in Recilla, Valdegaru, Ozaku, and La Olivera, four estates with sandy-loam soils where old vineyards over 40 years old thrive, giving life to this red wine. And this is just the beginning. The true Rioja character is achieved in the winery, where Ramón Bilbao Reserva is selected and vinified following the tradition of this region: pre-fermentation macerations in concrete (for at least four days), fermentations in stainless steel tanks, and a long ageing in American barrels, where Ramón Bilbao Reserva rests for over a year. 
 
Finally, Ramón Bilbao Reserva is perfected in the bottle, refining to become one of the finest wines of the D.O.Ca. Rioja that best represents and embodies the spirit of this appellation.

Ramón Bilbao Reserva 2018 captivates us with its understated sophistication and spiced persona. On the nose, it unveils a bouquet of ripe black fruits, interwoven with hints of licorice and clove, complemented by a distinctive graphite note that adds depth. On the palate, it presents a robust yet approachable structure, disclosing a ripeness that beckons one to savor its slightly full-bodied texture. This concentrated and harmonious red wine promises a tasting experience that accentuates its polished complexity.
 
2016 Ramón Bilbao Reserva 2016 is a red wine with aromas of red fruits on the nose accompanied by balsamic and spicy notes. Leather, tobacco and tea leaves also appear from its bottle aging. On the palate there are pleasant tannins and precise acidity. A long and complex red wine that is elegant and full of harmony.
2015

Ramón Bilbao Reserva 2015 is an impeccably matured red wine, exuding aromas of stewed fruits, nuanced spicy undertones, and mineral accents. On the palate, it presents a robust fruitiness, commanding presence, and an all-encompassing mouthfeel. This wine is velvety, with well-integrated tannins and a vivifying acidity. The finish is delightfully lingering.
2010 This red wine is a great blend that can be stored for many years.

Dark cherry, deep and dense.

Spicy and roasted aromas combined with light sweet, chocolate and red fruit notes.
2006 A wine with a very nice attack and a subtle and silky, very nice mid palate. It shows powerful and ripe tannins which provide the wine with a good astringency. It is very well structured and well balanced and has a lively acidity. A classic Rioja to be taken into account.

Beautiful ruby red colour with brick red edges. Bright wine with thin and regular tears.

On first nosing, the nice balsamic and roasted aromas and the notes of sweet spices provided during the aging in American oak barrels for 18 months are displayed followed by intense, mellow notes of red fruit provided by its long maceration. As it opens up, some hints of chocolate, leather and tobacco are also noticed. A complex, intense and suggestive wine.
2005 In the mouth, this is a full and lively red wine. The notes provided by the oak together with the notes of fruit make of this wine a full and tasty wine, with certain acidity that provides the right touch of freshness. Although tannins are well integrated, a certain point of astringency is perceived. Long finish with an aftertaste full of the complexity inherent to such a superior wine of Rioja.

Intense, bright cherry red colour with light touches of brick red.

Complex and intense aromas. After the first balsamic aromas typical of its time in the oak, the very ripe red fruit, almost jam, will appear powerfull on a background of spices with chocolate and coconut.
2004 On the palate its structure is medium and plays with various fruits and a genuine taste of ripen blackcurrant with a good balance and a pure finish. It shows juicy and flows broadly until a finish that remains a long time.

Intenseand dense  cherry-red.

Predominating aromas  of violets, blackberries, cedar, leather  and spice box.
