About Petit Hipperia

Petit Hipperia is a red wine from Castilla produced by the Vallegarcía winery. Every year the wine is different, every year it is their intention to offer us something special. The label is designed in collaboration with the artist Roman Ruska.

This wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. In regards to its production, it undergoes maceration for 3 days at a controlled temperature of 10ºC and then, ferments for 21 days with frequent pumping.

Finally, Petit Hipperia is aged for 12 months in French Oak Barrels.

Petit Hipperia 2022 is a red wine that embodies the warmth of its vintage with a fleshy and balanced character. Its notes of ripe berries, aromatic herbs, and a subtle spicy touch blend seamlessly with a velvety texture and refined tannins. Medium to full-bodied, it stands out for its freshness, well-defined acidity, and perfectly harmonised oak. It is a lighter yet equally elegant version of its elder sibling, Hipperia, ideal for those seeking a juicy wine with character.
2016 Petit Hipperia 2016 is a powerful, intense and elegant red wine. This vintage is somewhat warmer, showing ripe red fruit on the nose and more body and volume in the mouth.
2011 Upon the palate, it reveals a succulent, fruity character, imbued with toasted notes and mature tannins.

It boasts a cherry hue adorned with a garnet rim.

The bouquet is redolent of ripe fruit, sweet spices, creamy oak, and earthy undertones.
