About Lecco Reserva
Lecco Reserva is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Bodegas Resalte de Peñafiel.
This wine is a monovarietal Tempranillo (100%), whose grapes come from vineyards aged 40 years or more that are planted in different soils. The different soils give the grapes different characteristics which will later be displayed in the wine, making a powerful, complex and elegant wine.
As for the production of Lecco Reserva, malolactic and alcoholic fermentation is carried out in 25,000 litre stainless steel tanks with automatic fermentation temperature control. This is followed by 15 to 20 days of maceration. The harvest is carried out by gravity, like all the wines in Resalte.
Lastly, Lecco Reserva is aged for 18 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels.

Lecco Reserva 2018 unfurls a beguiling simplicity with its fruit-forward profile, showcasing prominent notes of ripe blackberries and blueberries. On the nose, these fruits interlace with a hint of spice and nuances of oak and smokiness. On the palate, it is full-bodied, revealing layers of chocolate and cassis. This red wine exudes a delightful maturity, with tannins that gently caress the palate without overwhelming, culminating in a finish that preserves the essence of its fruity character.
