About Laya

Can you imagine discovering an exceptional wine, one of those unforgettable gems, for under €10? Sometimes dreams do come true, so stop daydreaming and secure yourself a bottle of Laya, a red wine that sparks passion.

Atalaya winery, owned by the Viñas Familia Gil group, is where this red wine is crafted from garnacha tintorera and monastrell under the D.O. Almansa designation. These vineyards, situated between 700 and 1,000 metres above sea level, are located to the east of Castilla-La Mancha, near the border with Valencia, in the Almansa corridor (from which it takes its name). Since the 16th century, this area, renowned for its exceptional terroir, has had a rich tradition in viticulture. The limestone soils and scarce rainfall provide the perfect conditions for producing some of the finest garnacha tintorera in the country.

The harvest and a pre-fermentation maceration will mark the beginning of Laya's production. Throughout the winemaking process, each variety is handled separately, fermenting in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Once this process is complete, Laya will be transferred to French oak barrels where it will rest for less than six months.

So far, Laya has received excellent ratings from the public. Wine professionals and novices alike have been captivated by it. Don't resist indulging in a delightful glass of Laya
