About Habla Nº33

It is said that Michelangelo Buonarroti, the renowned Italian architect, painter, and sculptor, upon completing his sculpture "Moses," which he considered his most realistic work, lightly tapped it on the knee with his mallet and commanded it to "speak." 
 
Habla is born from this philosophy: the pursuit of perfection through an avant-garde winery where wines are crafted to elegantly reflect the essence of the land from which they originate. These are limited series wines presented with individual numbering. The first was born in 2005 and is sold out, as are all subsequent ones. 
 
Habla Nº 33 is a red wine made from Malbec grapes grown in Trujillo, a municipality in the province of Cáceres (Extremadura), on challenging, infertile land that compels each vine to bring forth its best. After fermentation, the resulting wine is aged for twelve months in French oak barrels where it is refined before being released to the market.
 
Habla Nº 33 astonishes, not only because it is crafted from a grape, the Malbec, more commonly found in Argentina, where it is the flagship variety; or in France, whose Bordeaux blends or the extraordinary single varietals produced in Cahors have gained worldwide acclaim. 
 
Bodegas Habla have achieved the miracle of extracting the best from land that seemed barren and lifeless, bestowing a new, more "Haute Couture" attire upon the wines of Extremadura, which were previously little known, rustic, and alcoholic. Habla Nº 33 is a sensual and enveloping wine, rich in fruit and highly varietal, needing only to speak.
