About Perelada Gran Claustro

Perelada Gran Claustro is a fantastic red wine produced by Perelada winery in the D.O. Empordà.
This wine is an example of the best of Empordà: its landscapes, the aromas of its fields, the North wind that marks the character of its people… Perelada Gran Claustro brings together the best features of this beautiful region, confirming the old saying that "a wine is the landscape of the country concentrated in a wine glass".

This wine is only made from the best harvest with grapes selected from the winery's best vineyards. The varieties used are Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Merlot (20%), Grenache (20%) and Samsó (20%).
The grapes are selected and collected entirely by hand.

They ferment at a controlled temperature of 25ºC and age for sixteen months in new Bordeaux barrels made with French Allier oak.
Perelada Gran Claustro has great ageing capacity.

2020

Perelada Gran Claustro 2020 is a red wine distinguished by its ripe fruit aromas, seamlessly integrated with refined ageing notes and a hint of spice. On the palate, it presents a velvety texture thanks to its mature tannins and enveloping character, with a freshness that balances its silkiness. Its elegance, balance, and long-lasting finish are accompanied by a remarkable personality and significant ageing potential. A superb example of the best of l'Empordà, crafted only in the finest vintages.
2006 Fresh and full on the palate with polished tannins. An elegant, silky and balanced wine.

Cherry red colour.

Ripe fruit, minerals, spices and fine notes from its ageing in wood.
2005 Excellent wine with a very wide and bulky attack. Very embracing. The creamy toasted and fruity aromas fill the mouth with silky sensations. It has perfectly integrated tannins and an excellent acidity. Its finish is very long and very persistent. Gran Claustro is a very elegant wine, which provokes immense and pleasurable sensations. A wine to be enjoyed slowly.

Intense cherry red colour with maroon edges. Clean and bright wine with a high layer and good slow-falling tears.

Elegant and powerful aromas. Its intense notes of ripe red and black fruits are mixed with noble toasted notes and expressive mineral touches. Its spicy notes appear progressively nuancing the wide range of aromas. Its intense balsamic background completes this harmonious bouquet.

In the mouth has a touch greasy jacket and long. It has silky tannins and a very good cast. This wine is elegant, balanced, complex, mineral and makes very empordanés ground.

Aroma powerful ripe fruit with a spicy background. Notes very well together with balsamic notes reductive fine.
