About Don PX

Don PX is a sweet wine from Moriles, produced by the Toro Albala winery.

It is a winery which is almost 100 years old, founded in 1922 and located in Aguilar de la Frontera, southwest of the province of Cordoba.

Don PX is 100% made from the Pedro Ximenez variety.

For processing the grapes are dried in the sun immediately after the harvest, thus becoming raisins. The grape wort is extracted by hydraulic press and a partial fermentation takes place, alcohol is added to the wine.

Finally the wine will rest for a year in stainless steel. Don PX is a dessert in itself, but also works well as a compliment with blue cheeses and fine pastries.

We recommend serving it very cold.

2019 Don PX 2019 is a sweet fortified wine boasting a lovely amber hue, which on the nose offers alluring scents reminiscent of raisins, figs, and honey, enveloped by a rich, spirituous backdrop and complemented by a subtle vegetal freshness. On the palate, its sweet onset is counterbalanced by a moderate yet noticeable acidity. A silky and enchanting wine, ideal for savoring on its own, or paired with patisserie, desserts, and cheeses.
2016 Don PX 2016 is a full and enveloping sweet wine. This vintage has a great aromatic intensity, notes of raisins, honey, nuts and a very subtle touch of citrus. In the mouth, it is very sweet, with volume and a very long finish.
