About Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Blanc

Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Blanc is a biodynamic white wine from AOC Sancerre, a single varietal Sauvignon Blanc produced by Domaine Vacheron.

Domaine Vacheron is a family winery in Sancerre run by the third generation of the family. It works its 47 hectares of vineyard biodynamically, and cultivates mainly Sauvignon Blanc and a little Pinot Noir.

The vineyards for Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Blanc are planted in calcareous, flint soils. The harvest is performed manually into 20 kg boxes. The bunches are pressed on arriving at the winery and the must is decanted cold to leave it clean. It then ferments in stainless tanks at a temperature lower than 20 ºC, in order to extract and preserve the fruity aromas of the grape. Lastly, the wine is aged on lees, filtered and bottled.

Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Blanc is a wine with pleasant fruity and floral aromas. It has mineral touches, a good tension and an enveloping volume.
2018 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Blanc 2018 is a pleasant wine that is elegant and direct on the nose. It exhales a beautiful ripeness with aromas of white flowers, yellow fruit, citrus fruit and minerals. On the palate it is frank, full, mature and elegant. It is a wine in which the fruit and white flowers dominate but where these are compensated by its refreshing minerality and acidity. Its finish is persistent and fresh.
