Contino Viña del Olivo

Contino Viña del Olivo is a red wine made by Bodega Contino. To make their wines stand out, and to pay tribute to a old olive tree found in the surroundings of the vineyards, they created Viña del Olivo, a modern but refined wine.
This wine is made with Tempranillo (88%) and Graciano (12%) grapes, vigorously selected. The grapes selected are at their optimum ripening point and are picked by hand from the winery's vineyards surrounding the Finca de San Rafael. After being destemmed, they ferment in 10,000 litre wooden vats.
The wine ages for 17 months in French and American oak barrels. It then stays in the bottle for a year, ageing in the cellars until going onto the market.
