On the occasion of the annual Chardonnay Day celebration, we have prepared a selection of Chardonnay grape wines which are the most representative of Spain. This variety easily adjusts to climates and territories and offers a wide spectrum of white wines; from the freshest ones, without any ageing, to those fermented and aged in barrels, with more mature volume and aromas. Castillo de Monjardín Chardonnay El Cerezo
We start off with a young and fresh Chardonnay wine made in Navarra by Castillo de Monjardín. This plot is located at a high altitude, which gives lightness to this wine. Perfect to drink as an appetizer.

Molí dels Capellans Chardonnay
It is made in Conca de Barberá by Molí dels Capellans, a warm area where the variety ripens perfectly. All its potential is highlighted by its fermentation in new French oak barrels. As a result, we have a complex and robust wine, with aromas of ripe white and tropical fruit that perfectly complement the spicy and buttery notes of the barrel.

Jean Leon Vinya Gigi
Jean Leon was a visionary of Penedés in 1963. There, he planted the varieties that he had as a reference for the great wines of the world and, among them, he could not miss out on the Chardonnay, planted in 1967 in honour of his daughter. A complex wine due to the age of the vineyard and the production process. This wine is fermented and aged in barrels for 6 months to highlight the deep aromas of the variety.

Augustus Chardonnay
From the early stages of the winery, Augustus opted for this variety. Located in the south of Penedés and overlooking the Mediterranean, the warm climate, and the fermentation and ageing in barrels, give this wine a high-quality unctuousness. A must for people who like classic Burgundy styles.

Enate Chardonnay 234
We could not miss out one of our customers’ favourite wines. This Chardonnay, made by Enate in Somontano, has become a classic in our catalogue. Year after year, it searches for the freshest expression of the variety, formed by exotic fruits, and a perfect volume in the mouth.

Chivite Colección 125 Blanco
This Chivite Collection made in Navarra is one of the leading white wines in Spain. It is made looking for complexity and endurance over the years. Fermented and aged in French oak, and with periodic batonnages, it reaches a volume and unctuousness that is polished over the years. One of the white aged wines of reference and, of course, made with Chardonnay.

Enrique Mendoza Chardonnay Joven
Enrique Mendoza continues to choose this variety in Alicante. In this warmer region, he achieves the most tropical aromatic potential of the variety, with a good balance in the mouth due to the climate of the area.

Parvus Chardonnay
Alta Alella makes this fresh and unctuous Chardonnay. A careful production, where the 4 months of fermentation and ageing give it precise aromas and volume so that it does not lose freshness and gains in complexity. A good wine that can be perfectly paired with fish and seafood rice dishes.

Can Feixes Chardonnay
Can Feixes makes this wine in Penedés, in the purest Burgundy style. The vineyard, located in the highest parts of Penedés, achieves a great acidity that will perfectly withhold the long ageing in French oak. A white, complex and unctuous wine.

Albret Chardonnay
Finca Albret has the right idea of the Chardonnay and this wine expresses it in a magnificent way. A short ageing gives the variety an extra complexity without losing its freshness. Perfect to accompany the vegetables of the area where it is made, Navarra.
