The truth is that champagne houses have gone to great lengths to bring exclusivity and prestige to their image, and have collaborated with fashion designers and celebrities to associate champagne with a luxurious lifestyle. This is how Armand de Brignac, a champagne brand produced by the maison Cattier, became a benchmark of high standing, especially in the rap world, since it was bought by Jay Z, one of the richest rappers in the world, in 2014. Easily recognisable by its glamorous presentation in a golden bottle with a printed ace of spades, it is so famous it has even been voted “best champagne in the world” by the leading “Fine Champagne” magazine.

The most iconic cuvée in the range, Armand de Brignac Brut Gold is made from a blend of the best plots. A blend of the three traditional varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from the most renowned terroirs of the Champagne region, in Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes. Sustainable agriculture is carried out and in the winery, vinification follows the traditional method with secondary fermentation in the bottle. A bottle containing three different vintages, which have previously rested for a year in French oak barrels. Finally, each of the bottles is coated in metal and finished with handmade French pewter labels.
