About Abadía San Campio

Abadía de San Campio is a white wine produced by Bodegas Terras Gauda in the DO Rías Baixas appellation. This winery is located in the Valle de O Rosal (Pontevedra).

Abadía de San Campio is crafted entirely from the albariño grape variety. The grapes are sourced from vineyards situated in the Golian region, at an altitude of 150 metres above sea level.

The significant temperature fluctuations between day and night experienced by the vineyard promote a slow and very favourable ripening of the grapes.

In its production, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 6 hours before proceeding to a low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks using yeasts from the vineyards themselves.

Finally, Abadía de San Campio is cold-stabilised and filtered prior to bottling.

Abadía San Campio 2024 presents itself as a young white wine, dazzling with its lightness and subtle fragrance. It boasts an appealing pale yellow hue. Upon bringing it to the nose, vibrant aromas of tropical fruits such as pineapple stand out, balanced with the ripe sweetness of golden apples and pears. 2022 Abadía San Campio 2022 is a compelling white wine exuding aromas reminiscent of peach, complemented by citrus notes of grapefruit and lime, rounded off with a subtle nuance of banana and pineapple. On the palate, it is robust and full-bodied, with formidable strength and a freshness that harmonizes the ensemble. A crisp, fruity, and vivacious white wine.
2014 Fresh and fleshly. Fruity sensations leading to a velvety and unctuous passing. Very well balanced with good acidity and a citric after taste.
